I'd like to get a nice suit (one piece) but I find most are somewhat frumpy. I'm in great shape, but have a lot of stretchmarks/loose skin on my stomach from pregnancies. Any recommendations for websites/stores that will ship to Canada?

I swear by the Tugless Tank from Land's End. They come in every size and have a firm stretch that holds in the blubber. they are comfortable and do not ride up. I think they're based in WI, so I would think Canada is not a problem.

I used to wear one-pieces and high waist bottoms, until my daughter pointed out that it only makes your tummy look bigger. Now, I wear a regular bikini...I don't have "overlapping" stuff, but I'm not 20, either! A tanned belly looks better than a white one. Don't worry so much about it!

I like swimsuitsforall's Beach Belle line. They do ship to Canada, but probably have duty fees that jack up the cost.

I second Lands End for awesome and roomy tankinis. They do a great job covering up while still looking cute.

Do you like one-piece suits that have shirring (pleated fabric)? Or that have loose-fitting "false" tops to look like a two-piece?

Try looking through the one-pieces on the website of The Bay. There's a good selection there. They have Lauren Ralph Lauren, I.N.C., and Miracle Suit, none of which strike me as very frumpy.

I also like what they have at Addition Elle. Swimsuits sizes run so small in general... I wear size 12/14 slacks, but size "X" at Addition Elle (smaller than 1X) fits me fine. I need at least a size 16 swimsuit.

Athleta has a lot of non-traditional options that look nice.

I wear bikinis from American Eagle. I've only had one kid, and minimized my stomach stretchmarks to the point where it's hard to see them. I wear the convertible bikinis, and fold them so that they lay right below my belly button. They are flattering on me, and comfortable, without being overly revealing. I don't have a mom pooch though, and I'm still in my twenties--I'm fit as well. I think if I had a mom pooch, I would do either the high waist, or a tankini. Most mainstream places these days, sell those.

Have you tried a Miracle Suit? I'm sure they sell them at any decent retailer in Canada. The one I used to have was very flattering with shirring in the front, tummy control and an underwire bra built in. While it was a one piece it did not look the least bit frumpy.

Thanks for all the recommendations! I will check them out today. I wouldn't mind a mesh front actually. It's not a great pic, but to show you what I mean, it's just loose skin. It's not a big looking tummy, just didn't handle skin stretching well (all babies were 9lb+)
