How long should a suit last?

The life of a suit depends on how often you wear it and more importantly the quality of the fabric. A $500, I'm assuming made-to-measure, suit is on a cheaper end of the spectrum, but I find it hard to believe even a cheaper suit can't last more than 15-20 uses. More than likely, the people who actually constructed the suit didn't do a good job and it was an anomaly among the glowing reviews.
