Does anyone else hate the "London look"?

The majorly gap-toothed grin? Yes, I know it started way back with Lauren Hutton but it was more subtle and she had the overall looks to carry it off. Now anyone with a gap is a "model"? Yuck - it just looks really dumb to me especially when they act like mouth-breathers so the gap is always visible.

People's teeth are what they are. To my knowledge, people aren't creating gaps on purpose. I guess I never thought about liking or not liking it. It just is. It's like saying you're tired of freckles or certain types of noses.

This^^. OP, your post is rather snotty and condescending. People can't help if they have a gap. I myself have a slight gap, and I don't mind it at all, and neither does anyone else I know.

I kind of like it in a "novelty" sort of way. I wonder what I'd look like with it?

I have a gap and I am not a model lol
Typically high fashion models aren't conventionally pretty. They want things that set them apart

I didn't know that was the "London look." I thought bad teeth in general was attributed to England.

I have no problem with gaps. I'd rather see a tooth gap than the emaciated look some models sport. I agree with crd that high fashion models aren't usually conventionally pretty. They are meant to be "interesting" coatracks for clothes (that I usually don't find conventionally pretty, either). Maybe the gap serves the purpose- you aren't wanting to look at their faces, apparently, so maybe you focus on whatever they're modeling Win-win for the designer!

Celebrities With Gap Teeth | Famous People Who Are Gap-Toothed
These celebrities who are American don't seem to have an issue with a gap in their teeth and I doubt any of them did not fix this non issue because they were striving to have a *London Look*.
It is one of those things that is an individual choice to change or not and one should not be *shamed* because someone else who does not even know them does not like the look.
OP, at times it is best to focus on one's own mouth before attempting to fix someone else who is not broken.

Online, it appears to be a meme, the "London look" is based on Georgia May Jagger and a couple of other models who closely resemble her.

Imperfect teeth don't bother me. Cosmetic orthodonture isn't a big deal to me.

A decade ago, or so, it was very "in" to have a gap in one's upper front teeth, and there were people who let the dentist create one for them. no kidding!
