Who influences your style decisions the most? Are you more likely to buy or wear something if your guy thinks it looks great on you? Do you avoid wearing a certain dress if your mother gives you a certain look? Do you let your closest friends act as your wardrobe consultants? Do you take your children's embarrassment factor into account when you show up somewhere with them? Or, like me, do you tune all of that out and just keep marching to the beat of your own instinctive style drummer?
Oh I never follow fashion trends much at all.. I know what suits my body type and stick to it... Im horrible in fluffy jumpers, or heavy jumpers.. I like fine knits sort of figure hugging, jeggins or slim stretchy trousers with block heel suede boots , chelsea style or with side zips.. military sort of jackets or casual coats for walking the dog, I do have a pure wool slack coat with a back vent , knee length in black that Ive not had the chance to wear yet.. plain but I like that and can dress it up with a nice scarf and gloves,, oh now thats old fashioned now isnt it.... having matching gloves, bag, shoes etc..... but I like at least two parts matching if Im dressed up a bit.. think it looks classy, I recently bought some Kaliko jumpers from ebay, a snip compared to the real price for the make and always beautiful material that I love..bought two the same as liked the first one so much, and a lovely cardigan too .
My wife's mother died over 20 years ago. They were very poor. My wife wore second-hand jeans she re-tailored to look sexy and a tight sweater she knitted. She painted her sneakers!
