Need to really find out what size I am these days. I haven't been sized in a LONG time. I've tried measuring myself and end up being disappointed when I purchase a bra.
I bought two bras in 34A recently and they're too tight and the cups are too small. However, the B cup is too large.
I think that I've now entered "specialty". Since I lift, I've noticed my back getting broader, but since the weight loss my boobs totally lost all of their fat and now it's just flesh

I need to get a properly fitting bra.
TIA.
A quality department store (Nordstrom is known for having well trained staff who can properly measure and fit a bra).
A specialty store that carries good quality undergarments. NOT Victoria's Secret- those are fashion items, not actual high quality garments.
I second Nordstrom's for a good bra fitting, but if the 34A had too small of a cup and was too tight, you might find that 36A is the right size now. The volume of the cup size changes with the band size.
For example 36A, 34B, and 32C all have the same cup volume, but with different fitting bands.
Another vote for Nordstrom. Or find out if there are any reputable locally owned boutiques in your area that specialize in bra fittings (let Yelp or Google reviews guide you). I'll echo the other poster who said don't bother with Victoria's Secret.
You might try Third Love, they have 1/2 cup sizes and a lot of sizing help on their website. Herroom.com is also helpful with providing a lot of measurements and they have a huge inventory.

It's pretty common for bra size to change after weight loss/exercise/any kind of weight change, lol.
Nordstrom is indeed a great selection but I see that you live near Austin, TX.
I order bras periodically from Petticoat Fair which is located in Austin. Outside of a few other specialty stores, they are one of the few that carry my size and don't charge an arm and leg. They are not cheap but I see on their site that they also do professional bra fittings so that is another option.
When I was younger I tried the Victoria's Secret bra fitting and it was a disaster They sized me as a 38B; I'm actually a 34DD. It was even more of a bummer because I had bought a couple of the bras without trying them on. Oh well, at least one of my friends got a couple of nice bras out of it
As far as I know Macy's will also measure you for bras - I agree though that you need to try the 36A, use the center set of hooks (I used to do bra measuring for special events @ Kohl's for Warners, etc.) - you should also try different brands as they can vary.

Second vote for Third Love. The site walks you through measurements. It really is the most comfortable bra I've ever owned.
I have found my local dept. stores have really cut back on fit specialists.
I also recommend Nordstrom. Best fit I ever got. I tried Third Love, and it didn't work for me. Maybe 20 years and 2 kids ago it would have worked, but didn't have the support I needed.
An A cup (which I'm not knocking as that's me) doesn't really need support - I still recommend OP try on they next up band-width and bras from different brands.
