Do you wear hats when out and about? What kinds of hats do you wear? I'm not talking so much about baseball caps or even floppy hats at the beach; more like fedoras or Panama hats and the like. I'd like to wear hats, but I rarely see any people wearing those kinds of hats in my area.
I only like hats when they are functional. I rarely see people, especially women, wearing fashion hats that don't look like the hat is wearing them instead.
In the late 80s I tried wearing a black felt reservation hat like The Edge wore on U2's Joshua Tree album, and I've never felt more conspicuous in my life.
I love hats! Especially in winter, they can add warmth. Fedoras are common these days; I have a couple of those in different colors, one with contrasting ribbon, but I usually prefer wider brims. They frame the face so nicely!
I have a couple that are fedora-like, but with wider brims, but they're winter ones. I haven't seen a good summer hat for awhile, though. I like to browse the San Diego Hat Company website. Anyone else know of a good online hat company?
Hats don't stay on my head, for whatever reason, so I wear visors all the time when outdoors (sun damage). DH wears a Panama hat often when we go out, which I much prefer to baseball caps (yuck).
I like the fedora, for those who can pull it off. Looks pretty hip.
Not a fan of cowboy hats, though.
Hope you weren't talking about the Queen of England stupid hats. Diana's were OK though.
I mainly wear beanies, on occasion i'll wear snapbacks but not normally. I also have a sunhat which I don't normally wear but it's there if I need it. Other than that I don't wear them a lot, usually in the winter or fall. If you are looking to wear hats just choose whatever you like or look good in!
