It seems like back in 2017 for a lot of shirts that I bought, spandex blends seemed to be in style. However, this year, there seemed to be a lot released with natural stretch fabrics that do not use any spandex. One of them that seems to come to mind are natural stretch cotton poplin shirts, which have a slight stretch without using any spandex. My polo shirts I bought this year were natural stretch interlock or pique cotton or cotton/poly blends.

Could this be a sign that brands are looking for alternatives to spandex for stretch fabrics?

The question I have is: Has spandex shirts for men EVER been in fashion? I dont know any dudes who wear, or have worn spandex shirts. How can something that has never been "IN" be "OUT" in favor of something else?

King's Gambit must not go to the gym or beach, or maybe there aren't any Lance Armstrong wannabes in Encino.

It does seem like spandex blends have coincided with the slim trend to make clothes look slimmer. The same is true with the skinny jeans trend.
