The 2017 card does have some retro going on, thanks. I wasn’t into the ripped jeans fad, but it was a popular look and still is. They have some cute hairstyles, it’s time for a trip to the hairdresser.
I have a fashion forward 12-year-old daughter who asked me for some high waisted jeans for Christmas. I asked her, you mean you want some mom jeans?
I always thought they were more flattering than hip huggers, elongated the figure so to speak. Personally, I love loose, wide leg slacks, trapeze pants or palazzo pants for work. Yoga pants for play.
Those rainbow pants SeaOfGrass posted would be worn by me never. I'd sooner wear pedal pushers, and I haven't worn those since 1998.

Oh, no, that was a joke. But I did wear some exactly like that when I was, I guess, a teen? I was just going to ask if anyone else remembered them.
Lucky me, the garage sales in the early 1980s had piles of these. I got to wear Dittos when everyone else was wearing Sergio Valente, Jordache, and Gloria Vanderbilt jeans. Oh, and Calvin Clein's, how could I forget. Brooke Shields commercial where she said something along the lines of 'nothing gets between me and my Calvin Clein Jeans.' Or is this a false memory?
I still would rather wear Dittos than today's jeans. Very flattering style.

Oh my gosh. Walking down memory lane now!
My very favorite outfit - that I thought was the coolest thing ever - when I was a young teen was this:
Red white and blue "bicentennial" bell bottomed jeans, in a sort of funky flag design, hip huggers of course, with a wide vinyl double punched white belt, a white crop top with a wide collar and a zipper neck, and those cork bottomed platform sandals. I WAS TOTALLY DA BOMB. Oh, and since my hair was so thick that I could never wear it straight and parted down the middle, instead I had "wings." Lord have mercy.
Oh my gosh, I found the jeans and top and shoes and all that!
I love those slacks that I think of as Kathryn Hepburn pants. So I guess that’s the 1940s? They hang straight down off your hip bones, and seem to look good on everyone. Some decade, not sure which, that I lived through had something similar ....maybe the 80s like on Dynasty.
Back in 1970, I converted a couple pairs of elephant bell jeans into maternity jeans and wore them with my big loose embroidered gauze tops. We were living on a military base at the time and my husband was told by his C.O. "Your wife looks like a &#(%@* hippie! Tell her to wear ordinary clothes!"
I wanted to tell the C.O., "OK, you tell YOUR wife to stop shoplifting at the Exchange!"
Oy, me in my massive shoulder padded velvet dress #thosewerethedays
