If you hated the look before nothing dictates that you have to succumb to wearing it when it rears it's ugly head again. Thought they looked stupid the first time around (all that pointless fabric flapping around someone's ankles) and my opinion hasn't mellowed with time.
Lol, you must have loved the "elephant ears" pants, extremely wide and flappy all the way down. I suppose now they would be called "palazzo pants." I think some of those can be really pretty, but I'm shorter so they don't really work too well on me.
All of us over 60 have the right to wear whatever we want! I will be 70 next birthday and I would totally wear some cute bell bottoms, maybe even with a butterfly on the butt! I have skinny pants with angel wings bling on the butt after all! I also have leather boots guilded with embroidery and rhinestones! If I like it I buy it and WEAR IT!
I wore bell bottoms pants in the 70s. bell bottoms look good on most people, unlike skinny jeans that look bad on almost everyone, unless you are shorter than average.

I saw some really, really cute bell-bottoms at Free People last week. I didn't try them on, but was really tempted. The thing is, I'm 70. Yeah, I wore bell-bottoms 50 years ago and loved them. I at reasonably attractive for my age, and have a decent figure. (There are pictures of me on my profile.) From that standpoint, I could probably pull off wearing them. But before I put out the money, I'm wondering what you all think. Would somebody my age look absolutely stupid wearing something like bell-bottoms. Should I just resign myself to "growing old gracefully" or go out and buy the clothes I like?
You can totally pull it off. You have the legs for it.
