I am glad! I prefer bootcut or bigger. Love Bell bottoms. Do have some skinny jeans. Can adapt to all kinds of styles. Glad I keep my clothes from 20+ years. Lol.
I saw some really, really cute bell-bottoms at Free People last week. I didn't try them on, but was really tempted. The thing is, I'm 70. Yeah, I wore bell-bottoms 50 years ago and loved them. I at reasonably attractive for my age, and have a decent figure. (There are pictures of me on my profile.) From that standpoint, I could probably pull off wearing them. But before I put out the money, I'm wondering what you all think. Would somebody my age look absolutely stupid wearing something like bell-bottoms. Should I just resign myself to "growing old gracefully" or go out and buy the clothes I like?
I think you would look great in them! I to am from the bell bottom era.

My mom is a year older than you. She's got the spirit of a twenty year old. Wear whatever makes you happy. I'm struck with the same "spirit bug", I'm 43 and I dress closer to a college student than a "so called adult." Of course i don't feel 43. I've been blessed by a youth Gene myself, because i don't even look 30.
I'm going to lunch and shopping with a girlfriend today. It will be near the store where I first saw the cute Bell Bottoms. (It was Free People, by the way.) I think maybe I'll try them on today and buy them if they look good. I have all of you to thank you that!
I did it! I bought me a cute, cute, cute pair of bell bottom jeans! I'm going to have to shorten them, so I'm going to wash them and dry them in the dryer twice before I do. They don't actually even have a hem. They're just cut, so once I figure out how long they need to be, it will just be snip, snip. I'd never worn a pair of Free People pants before, and they fit my waist, hips and butt so well. It's always hard for me to find pants that fit (jeans or any other pants). My hips are quite narrow and my waist is large by comparison. Plus, I don't have much of a butt. Generally, if the pants fit my waist, they just hang on my hips and butt. If they fit my hips and butt, I can't even get them around my waist. At any rate, these fit perfectly (except for the length) and I love them!
Good! I love them. Loved them in the '70's, loved them when they came back in the 90's, love them now.
