Personally I feel since its your own body its your business. I have never been in the place of not having big enough boobs so I have a hard time really understand how you feel.
I just think people should make sure they are really well informed. We watch plastic surgery program on Discovery health which shows alot of different procedures. You might find that interesting.
I have a neighbor who has a boob job and I would have never guessed. She looks fabulous and they stand at attention and she is in her 50s. She did have an incident where she ruptured one in a falling accident and she had to have surgery to correct it.
Make sure you have a good doctor of course.
I plan on having a breast reduction someday and I can't wait to get it done.
I went to a party last year where a woman was showing us all her new rack. They looked great and felt real. I thought they might have hard edges or feel like plastic bags full of jelly but they really did feel exactly like natural ones. She said she got the best doctor she could find, at $7,000 per pair over the more customary $5,000 per pair in this region.
Personally, I understand she did it for herself and her own self-esteem, not for others, but this lady was so cute, had a great sense of humor and personality, it seemed unnecessary in my humble opinion (which I understand has no value in this kind of decision).
Being a man, I'm probably supposed to go for the bigger is better argument, but there's something to be said for learning to accept yourself as you are, whatever jug size. Surgery always has risks. But, it was her $7k, her body, her decision, and she was happy with the result and not experiencing any health complications.
My first husband's mother had a boob job. One of them leaked and she had a lot of very expensive medical problems, some of them ongoing. She ended up having them removed.
Well, since you asked for opinions, every one can do what they like with their own body, but there is NO way I would ever get one. In fact I wouldn't mind having smaller breasts, large breasts are highly overrated, IMO. Especially as you get older, less is more .

My girlfriend likes to say that a "reduction" can be medically necessary, but augmentation isn't. Which horrifies me...
She tells me that carrying that weight can be bad for a woman's back, and I told her that I wouldn't mind following behind someone to hold them up for her...
I am curious as to how other women feel about this? Mens opinion is welcome also.
I, personally, won't. I like my boobs just the way they are (34C). I'm happy.
But if I had breast cancer and had to have a mastectomy, then yes I would get it done. But only for that particular reason (because I'm used to having something there). Not for vanity.

Well, she's right. The larger your breast size the likely you'll get chronic back aches, back problems, and can't breathe well when laying on your back.
My husband's mother had very large breasts and she could not breathe when she laid on her back. She also had very bad chronic back aches. Not fun at all, I say.
