BERLIN (Reuters) - Thousands of German policewomen will receive what media have labeled "bullet-proof bras."

Made of white cotton and featuring the word "Polizei" (Police) along the seam, the bras are meant to better protect police women who wear bullet-proof vests.

Aww.. I was hoping there was some sort of actual bullet-proof characteristic to these bras. That would be rawkin'.

These are just overhyped sports bras.

It's not that they are bullet proof, they just don't have any metal or plastic attachments that could cause an injury if a bullet hit the actual vest right over the attachment. A person gets bruised enough from the impact, they don't need a piece of metal/plastic driven into a delicate part of their body.
