I apologize if this has been a thread here before, I tried to do a search for it. I have read in beauty magazines that you can buy make-up at Walgreens, and actually return it if you're not happy with it AFTER you've used it. Is this true? Does anyone have any experience returning make-up after opening it and using it? Were you hassled about it, or how easy was it to return it? What store did you go to?

I'm asking because I'm getting ready to go out and try some new make-up products and colors, but truly can't afford to make costly mistakes. If Walgreens will take returns on anything I end up not liking, I'll go there and buy it.

I've never gone to Walgreen's but keep the packinging and your receipt and CVS and Rite will take it back.

Yes, Walgreen's will accept returns for make-up. Recently, I was checking out and mentioned to the clerk at the cosmetics counter that I hoped that the lipstick would not be too bright for my skin tone. She told me if it didn't work, I should return it. I couldn't believe it! She said to keep the receipt and it wouldn't be a problem. Well, the lipstick didn't work, I did return it and they gave me the option of an exchange or a full refund. I was amazed.

Although I prefer high end foundation and blush, I do buy less expensive lipstick and nail polish. It's great to know that you can try new colors risk free at Walgreen's.

So will Rite-aid! And they should! I mean--there's no way to try it before you purchase, the way they package stuff nowadays!!!! Practically takes a blow-torch just to open many items!

I like it that way - keeps someone with a cold sore or who knows what else from swiping the lipstick over their kisser, and then put it back for someone else to buy.

I had heard about the returns at walgreens. Also, if you have an ULTA cosmetics store, they also take things back. I just found this stuff out about a month ago. Just think of all the stuff I have purchased and tossed!

I have never tried at WalGreens but I have returned make-up from MAC that I had a reaction too and I know you can return this since it is a little pricey. Call and find out there return policy.
