IMHO only baseball caps (esp backwards) make a grown man look childish.
I suppose it depends on the man, the place and the time, but in general, I like other hats, especially Indiana Jones-type hats.

Depends on the type of hat. I live in the South now and am really sick of seeing men in baseball caps. But some hats on certain men look fantastic. I like Panama hats on men and the type of hats that golfer Greg Norman wears. I like Indiana Jones type hats too. Yeah, and Kangols are nice, like redjuel says.

No, won't look childish. Just pick different hats for different situations.

And I like baseball hats. My grandpa wore them up until he died at the age of 89.

Gosh no, all the classy guys of cinema (Cary Grant, Spencer Tracy, James Stewart ) looked AMAZING in hats. My husband wears them everywhere. He wears Kangol caps (driving cap-style) most of the time but also has a few fedoras. He's dishy.

It depends on the hat. Baseball caps look dumb -- what are you trying to hide that you need to wear a baseball cap?

However...my boyfriend's military beret that he has to wear as part of his uniform looks tres sexy.

In my opinion, any man in a baseball hat looks HOT - HOT - HOT.

I love to see more men wear hats. IMO they all look good in hats.

Just take your hat off in front of an older lady
(couldn't resist don't mind me, I'm old fashion)

My husband wears cowboy hats, he looks good in them.

Childish? Why childish? Do little boys wear hats that look like men's hats? I don't think so...

I don't like hats on men, because I like to see the whole person. But they can be interesting, in moderation. Except baseball caps -- backwards or frontwards -- which I think simply look stupid, and show the wearer is entirely uncreative and a sheep-like follower.

Cowboy hats. Australian outback hats. Tilley adventure hats. Great.
No fedoras, thank you. That period of history is over.
