Shampoo. Biolage is the best shampoo I've tried. I wish it were about $10 cheaper, but it's worth it to have hair that feels clean (not gritty or weighed down the way some shampoos have made my hair feel), light and softer.
I guess I'm just cheap! I don'' spend alot on any one thing! I like Pantene shampoo--it's not excessively expensive. I do use a $24 mascara--that's my only "expensive" item!
I am hooked on drugstore products in general-- make up and skin care, and also pricey food like salmon. I have never bought an expensive cream like La Mer but may splurge in the next couple of days on a very interesting product I keep reading about called Prevage.
I have extremely curly hair and live in an area with unpredictable weather... I spend a TON on curly hair products... gels, scrunching sprays, leave in conditioners, palmade, oils, serums, this shampoo, that shampoo... you name it, I have tried it...

Pantene is bad for your hair! It's like hair garbage in a pretty bottle!
I probably spend the most on my hair. I get my hair colored regularly and I like for it to be done by someone well trained. I also buy Matrix/Biolage products and lately, I've been buying Frederic Fekkai products.
Permanent french UV gel for my nails. I have them for about the half the year. I don't like long nails, or flashy colors, but I love French manicures, and these just stay looking good forever. In fact I'm getting a new set tomorrow, a set lasts 3 months, and I haven't had them all summer. However a full set costs $70.00, and the bi-weekly refills total $65.00 a month.
And no my nails are not rotting or dying, or riddled with fungus, I go to a reputable salon that does not use acrylic or drills....never had a problem, and my nails are normal after getting them removed each time.
I also get my blonde hair highlighted once or twice a year with lighter blonde highlights. It's about a $100.00 each time.
I'm a freebie queen when it comes to creams, anti-aging creams and make up. Look up the website of the brands you are interested in or check out the 'start sampling' site. You can try out all sorts of shampoos/conditioners....plus use the coupons they send with the sample. In addition, I haven't purchased toothpaste in a year. They always give those away.
I don't think I'm supposed to post sites on here....but if you can't find a good sample site...please feel free to PM me. I save a FORTUNE by getting free good size samples.
I'm addicted to certain facial lotions and moisturizers from Estee Lauder, and my favorite cologne is Romance by Ralph Lauren, which keeps going up in price every time I go to replace it when I run out.
I also pay a lot for blonde highlights, but it's worth it for how it brightens up my look and how good it makes me feel.
In an effort to save some money, I've been experimenting with less costly products like L'Oreal eye cream. For the most part, though, I believe you get what you pay for -- at least it seems that way to me based on the things I've tried.
