In order to make my face look like the first picture posted by EMI_, I need a full face.
Back in college, I used to wear full makeup (concealer, full face liquid foundation, loose powder, blush, shadows, mascara and lipgloss) and most assumed I had no makeup on. I even had guys tell me I should wear a little makeup and I used to crack up and tell them I spent an hour in the morning putting on my face. The difference was my shadows were light browns, ivories and pinks and they were mattes AND I didn't line my eyes with shadow and/or liner.
My definition of "full makeup" has nothing to do with the colors chosen, but the amount you're wearing mostly relating to your makeup base: concealer, foundations and powders.
Ha, I am a true Southern woman. Are you from Texas? Also, my grandparent's house has a name and has been in our family for over 100 years, so if you want to see true Southern women, come visit. Also, I have several strands of pearls that have been passed down from both sides of my family. However, they are not everyday wear.
I most certainly am not from Texas! You want to talk about some women who wear too much gaudy makeup and ostentatious jewelry! Whoo! I am a Georgia girl by and by! You wouldn't happen to be from Florida, would you? I do not consider any part of that state to be part of the South.
I guess we'll just have to accept that we come from different places. My social circle is comprised of people who know better than to look plain and basic.

To each her own, I guess.
Whats the comment about Florida women about??? I live here.
As my grandpa used to say, if the barn needs painting, paint it. He was referring to women that wore makeup, love it!
