I have a great job in Fort Smith. I am not meeting anyone I am interested in, though I have tried many avenues for years. I have not met someone who is even close to who I am looking for. I have heard it is a lot different in NWA. I also get on dating sites but most singles aren't on those and I come up with the same thing-few individuals who I am interested in. For years I have tried to find a job in NWA but the best I can get is another entry level job (everyone else wants to move there). How could I begin going up there to meet singles while still living in FS? What types of activities could I travel to up there? My interests/passions include my faith, ballroom dance, biking and other activities. But it seems a huge stretch to think I would meet someone through those venues, but maybe not. I did attend a church activity up there but it seemed a waste - driving two hours (on two occasions) just to end up only talking to a few guys in this large singles gathering. It also seemed weird (Why would you travel this far for a church singles activity?). Any suggestions?

I've found that meeting romantic partners is a chance type thing. I've met girls online, at the book store, at work (didn't go bad, actually!) and many other places. I don't think any one "thing" "works". What has worked best for me is to be positive, smile, and stay fit. Those are all things that attract a mate in the animal kingdom, and whether people admit it or not, we are just animals.
