Can somebody look at their utility bill and tell me how much you are paying for electricty per kWh.

San Diego gas and electric recently changed to a 2 tier system that is .21 for tier 1 and .43 / kWh for tier 2.

will do it when hubby gets home. He has our home utility files. Oh I guess, if I wasn't so tied and lazy I could check, but promise, if I don't forget. We are part of a co op, so rates are probably a little lower. I don't know if we all have the same co op company or not. I can tell you we are on a budget plan so our rate varies very little and I think it runs about $160 per month, that is including heat and air. We have a heat pump and no gas/

There are several different utility companies serving Northwest Arkansas. I believe Nita is on Carroll Elec. I'm on AEP/SWEPCO.

The state has a handy tool for figuring out the rates.

Arkansas Electricity Rates | Electricity Local

From that link:

Residential electricity rates in Arkansas average 9.3¢/kWh, which ranks the state 47th in the nation.

Thanks Guys.

What a cool link DC, thank you. Waaaayyyy less than I am paying now
My electric bill was $445. It would have been $96 in NWA

Can't wait to get there.

No worries Nita.

If you need a comparison, here in Memphis residential has a base rate (before reading the meter) of $11.20 or so, then the per kwh varies more or less quarterly. Base rate per kwh is about .085 during the summer (highest rate of the year). There is also a per kwh fuel adjustment charge of about 1% that the city pays TVA.

Thanks. Kind of moot at this point. House is bought and rates are what they are. Will seem very inexpensive to me after paying the highest rates in the country.
