Was invited to be part of a group show (at town library for this month)-which is exciting, given my obscurity/"unknown-ness".

There is some really cool stuff on here. I really wish I could draw. I can build a picture in my head, but I can't project it onto paper. Try as I might. I can make stuff. I do, regular. Putting things together, creatively, I can do, but I just can't draw worth beans. Mores the pity....

yes you really can draw. this lady and a friend figured out a way to show people how to "see" what it is you are drawing. makes it very easy. if you can draw straight lines, a few curved ones. you can do it. this book is aimed at children but it is excellent. give it a go.

I'll recommend a book as well:
Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain: The Definitive, 4th Edition: Betty Edwards: 9781585429202: Amazon.com: Books

Great book that makes perfect sense. Anyone interested in drawing who thinks they can't should read this book.

Be careful if your income depends upon it not to post artwork without a watermark to ensure your copyright.

I thought it would cure my lack of drawing ability, sadly it didn't.

I'm just starting an oil painting. I know nothing about oil painting, so this could be an interesting journey. The trickiest thing for me, with art, is knowing when to stop.
