Cute. And creative.
The Little Picketers of Russia
The rules are simple: Create a small figure with a banner protesting the invasion, put it in a public place, and upload a photo.
On a recent snowy day in Moscow, a figure held a poster of a peace sign across the river from the Kremlin. Unlike other protesters, this one was not arrested, because it stood only a few inches tall and was made of plasticine clay. Similar figurines in a rainbow of colors have appeared on fences and pipes, atop tree branches and railings, and in the balconies of the Bolshoi Theatre and the crevices of statues.

Decoding the Antiwar Messages of Miniature Protesters in Russia
Last year in St. Petersburg, an artist uploaded a few images of tiny clay figurines in a public space to Instagram under the account Malenkiy Piket, meaning Small Protest. In a separate post, he invited others to join him in his silent demonstration. Since that post, he has received almost 2,000 images containing homemade figurines, many holding posters of protest with curious symbology.
