Hi I am from a small town in New Hampshire and am looking to move in the summer. I am so tired of the cold. I am looking at either springhill, or West Ocala. Does anyone have any information about these to towns? I still would love some of the country atmosphere, but am concerned about the crime rate in fl. I also need a good school for my son. I am also looking to go to cfcc for the nursing program since it is almost impossible to get into school for nursing here.

Love to Race: I want to move back to Florida. If you stay away from the colleges and large cities the crime rate is not a problem. W. Ocala would be close to the Gatornationals Schools are not as advanced as they are in the NE; however, the community colleges (I'm familiar with G'ville) are great.

Hey Luv2Race,
Have you ever considered Northwest Florida's beaches? I live in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida but have lived in many cities in Florida - and I feel blessed to be where I am today. It's a lovely community that I have never felt unsafe in. We are pretty laid back here at the beach. Our beaches are spectacularly beautiful with dunes, white sandy beaches, sparkling emerald green waters - our Emerald Coast remained a hidden treasure for many years but has experienced quite a bit of a boom over these recent years. But with that development has come more culture and more opportunities. In regards to schools, I don't have kids so I can't really recommend any but I know that there are good schools around and medical employment opportunities for you. The colleges are Okaloosa Walton Community College and Gulf Coast Community College. Hope this helps . URL removed
