Yep, the situation is horrendous. Northport and Punta Gorda are really bad. They're giviing homes away in those areas. On some streets only a few homes are not vacant. I've been researching those areas but found that while the homes are gorgeous and only a fraction of what it would have cost to build them the areas are so poorly developed that it's not worth it. Northport has a population of 50,000 people yet has no hospital. Amazing. I live in an area with 2,000 people and the surrounding towns from my area don't even add up to 20,000 combined, yet each community is approximately 8 miles from the nearest hospital.
