We are in sunny (wet?) Florida! Left Cleveland Ohio on Tuesday at around 11:00, drove as far as a small city in North Carolina, left around 10:00 on Wed, and got into the Lakeland area by 7:30 on Wed!!! Did nothing but rain on Thursday (4"). Went and got the truck set up with new auto insurance, then went and got it registered and tagged (215.00), hubby got his Florida's driver's license. Went and did bank set up today, then drove to TAmpa to find an easy route (ha is that a laugh) as hubby will be commuting for two weeks to do training for the post office.
Lovin' the heat, can't wait to see what it is like in Jan and Feb and no snow!!!
Observations so far:
CRAZY drivers!, nice helpful people, gas prices the same as home in Ohio, can't get used to seeing all the palm trees.
I leave Sunday and fly back to Ohio for a month and finish work, while hubby stays here. We'll make the drive again in September and be down here for good, then we have to start house hunting.... love my in-laws, but will need to find a place of our own soon!
I'll keep writing; no regrets (except to hear that American Home Mortgage has gone belly up - we were a week away from closing our mortgage with buyers for the house in OHio... don't know what happens now!)

Car haulers?
Anyone out there know of a good car hauler company? Anyone know aprox cost to bring a car from OHio to Florida? I don't know if we want to do a second trip down in the car.... flying sounds much better
