would welcome all info/advice. considering 55+ community but have 4 dogs (app 20 lb ea) and need to know if this is a deal breaker for these areas. All are rescues and inside pets. Also would like to know about pet friendly smaller towns.

There are many 55+ communities that allow dogs. Some communities do have a limit on the amount of dogs or type of dogs.

Were you looking for a mobile/villa/home, etc? There are some pretty reasonably priced 55+ communities in North Port. The Sarasota/Venice area is also another option.

A lot of it depends on price range, amenities required, distance to the beach, etc.
