I'm 24 and single looking to transfer with my job to FL. I currently live in TN and have been here my entire life and I'm looking for a change. I have family in Sarasota/Venice area and I needed some input as to where is the best place for me to consider moving. I would like to be within an hour or so from the Sarasota area. I'm looking to meet new people so I would like an area with people close to my age as well. I've been looking at Sarasota/Venice, Tampa, St. Petersburg. Please help me on this. Thanks.

Go to where you can transfer your job.

Stick with the metro areas for the youger generation.

Come down and check out all three - Tampa, St. Pete and Sarasota (skip Venice, waaaaay too old and small for your age). At your age you will probably prefer Tampa, more young people there (the biggest city). Tampa is about an hour from Sarasota.

Are you able to transfer to any city?

as a 24 year old, you'd probably be bored to death outside of the tampa/st. pete area. look for places to live in the south tampa or downtown st. pete areas.

Don't overlook Sarasota. There are 1000's of young adults there attending the many small colleges and Sarasota isn't a big place. The old farts on here never see them because they eat dinner at the early-bird specials at 4pm and are sleeping by 8pm. Just visit beautiful Siesta Beach on a weekend to get an idea.
