But, hey, if you don't like Windermere there's always Isleworth. Houses in Isleworth start in the low 3's.

The good and the bad about Greater Orlando is that it has too many "rich ghettos" where the ultra-rich live. The price for admission is not just $3,000,000 but add annual costs of $25,000 for taxes, $6,000 for yard maintenance, $12,000 for home owner's association dues, $20,000 for insurance, not to mention green fees, club fees, etc. Before you pay dime one in a mortgage payment, you will have already spent close to $70,000! It must be great to be rich.
Your numbers are very off. Lawn maintenance is about half of what you suggest, as is home owners insurance. And most of Isleworth pays about $400 a month for HOA dues, not the $1000 you suggest.

By the way, there are homes listed in Isleworth for around $1.5 million, and for those, the home owners insurance will run you about $5000 a year.

My family and I have been seriously considering a move to Windermere, and just returned from a house hunting trip. There's a lake front home we really liked. I have a concern about the area, and I'm hoping someone here can educate me a bit. My husband is Indian, and I'm Jewish. Well, we don't want to be the only ones. My only source of info has been the realtor who tells me there's absolutely nothing to worry about in that area, but I'm not clear on it as of yet. I want my children to feel embraced by the community. It's an uncomfortable subject to discuss, but I'd appreciate any input.
