FL needs to drop the whole "south" and "trailer park" vibe it's got going and adopt a more wordly, sophisticated one.

amirite? or amirite?

*BARF*

Hopefully never. I would hate for Florida to be run-over with even more pretentious snobby rich folks and people who call themselves "educated, worldly and sophisticated" "young professionals". Such stupid and ridiculous looking terms. These kinds of people tend to be nothing but stuck-up workaholics who don't appreciate the simpler and finer things in life.

I'm tired of stuck up Yankees trying to change things in ways that THEY think is better. We're just fine and dandy with the way we are, thank you very much. Y'all need to leave us alone.

If you hate Florida so much, then why don't you move to one of them states?

Your telling me that the states you listed are this way?

Maybe the major cities of those states have the demographics you speak of.

Otherwise, no need to bring all that upon FL. Leave it where it is.

When will Florida be a socially liberal and progressive state?

It already is, it has been a blue state in the last two presidential elections.

Not even close. The state's politicians are in bed with every conservative lobbying group out there ranging from the NRA to anti-abortionist groups. An independent study of state legislatures deemed Florida's among the most conservative in the US.

When the educated, cultured and sophisticated voters begin to exercise their right to vote. Voter apathy is huge in this state and until more turn out to vote we'll continue on with the freak show government that "represents" us.

If people hate it so bad here, why don't you all up and leave and head to Michigan? They're quite blue and I hear it's very nice up there right now.
