Absolutely love the heat.
But a cool 73 ensures I get a great night's sleep and up early the next day to enjoy all that heat again.
Remember what I say, you've gotta learn to live with the heat rather than try to defeat it.

Well i have lived here longer than you and i hated it as a kid and hate even more now that i get much less rain year after year. 73 is way to cold to sleep at nite dwight. I can't get my room lower than 78 anyways.

Hubby likes it cold for sleeping so the thermostat gets turned down to 70* for sleeping. When he wakes up (5:00 am to work out of the home office) he turns the unit completely off. The house stays relatively cool for most of the day. When interior temp reaches about 80*, air comes back on but set at 77 - 78*.

Because he gets up so early, he generally goes to bed early. I have to put on sweats and sweatshirt also grab a blanket to cuddle in.

I do like a colder room to sleep in, I guess I've gotten used to that. LOL. It's a compromise. He wouldn't mind having 72* all the time. I can go out to the back lanai to warm up, and frequently do, but 78* is doable.

I'm curious as I am and have been a NY'er all my life and love the cold weather, what is a reasonable temp without breaking your pocket and selling two or three kids for electricity? lol
