here we go again with the Daytona sucks people. Yea I wouldn't move to "Daytona" either, but I consider South Daytona, Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach Shores, Wilbur by the Sea, Ponce Inlet, and Port Orange all parts of Daytona also, and I think they're fine. If you want surf, you want east coast, not west coast. So you can rule out Clearwater, unless you meant surf as simply "beach". Even check out New Smyrna. Just stay away from Holly Hill, which is what people are most likely referring to when they think Daytona. You can't tell me Daytona Beach Shores is a dump. You can't tell me Ponce Inlet is a dump. You can't tell me Port Orange or South Daytona is a dump either. I live here, I would know. Just don't go to Holly Hill and stay south.
