There are many very nice trailer parks in SFL with friendly people and clean, orderly (if a bit crowded) living. BUT, you need to be really careful about hurricanes and even summer storms - typical wind and rain can cause mold issues that can make you very sick, or wipe out your place altogether. The nicest places are not exactly cheap, either, but many consider them affordable for the lifestyle they offer. In my opinion, the Keys offer the best ones. But they are in very low flood zones and it is only a matter of time before severe damage will occur - not only affecting residents, but in a hurricane those trailer park homes will smash into each other and into everyone else's homes too. It is unclear how long they will be legally allowed, like the houseboat issue before them. Your best bet is to have a truly mobile home like a trailer or RV and then drive it up out of harm's way every hurricane season, for the cooler weather up North. The Keys in particular are very dry during the Dry Season so there is not much worry of a problem during those months.
