I'm looking at retiring within the next 18 mos to Florida. Palm Coast is one of the areas I am very interested in, as is my sibling.

Looking at two options - a home or a condo overlooking the beach. Are there condo's on the beach? I couldn't quite tell from some of the web pictures...everything looked a little removed from the beach.

I have already done a search on this forum for Palm Coast and have garnered some interesting and informative facts. I'd like to get an even better understanding of the options and be able to monitor the the real estate market in Palm Coast. What are some of the best options for doing this independent of a real estate agent?

Any suggestions are welcome...

For affordable beachfront condos, check Flagler Beach which is just east of Palm Coast. They are on the westside of A1A (no buildings block the beachview in Flagler Beach).

For a higher priced option you can check Ocean Hammock/Hammock Dunes which is just north of Flagler Beach.

Not sure why you want to do it without an agent though. You are aware that it costs you nothing to work with an agent? I'm not hawking my own services, because I don't work in the Palm Coast, but when I moved to Tampa, I was overwhelmed with the choices/areas, and I found Realtors to be most helpful in narrowing those choices down to a manageable size.

Good information - thank you.

I'm not opposed to working with an agent eventually - first I want to understand the market and narrow the areas I am interested in. I love research, and plus my brother is an agent so I'll let him deal with all the details once I more thoroughly know what I'm going for.
