Well the people are right the parameters are too optimistic for FL. East coast won't happen unless you find some grieving widow that lost her mind. West side maybe the parameters... except the lease... I have dealt with several lease options and I wouldn't even pretend this could be done. It would be a waste of time unless you change parameters. I searched there are none available. in the middle of the state. you might try some rural state like MS or LA,

Florida homes
You might possibly find a home as you are speaking in mid state somewhere around Ocala or Arcadia but nothing near water. A rental on such a size house would cost now around 1800 a month minimum.
Your house for the price you want will be very very far out of town and will take a long time to search for. Possibly in the worst neighborhoods of Miami you might find something like that.
Go to Realtor.com and see what you can find for that size and price. That might be the best place for you to start to get an idea.
Good luck.

Palm Beach Cty had a mobile park called Colonial East, where you have a mobile and you OWN your own land. I wonder if they are still as reasonable as they were awhile back????? Nice club, pool, and not that far from Boynton or Delray Beaches.

By the way.......you can rent......and then purchase a home right by the ocean, golf cart access and parking. Beautiful community of Oceanside Village, in Surfside Beach, South Carolina. I'd google that and perhaps the Rose Real Estate that has the homes in here. Prices from 89,000 on up to 600,000 which are the stick built homes of Bermuda Bay.....So all pricing. It depends on size, and condition of the homes.
You will have a lot rent after purchase. The community has indoor and outdoor pools.....a lake, park, and its own restaurant.

I am thinking maybe the original poster was yanking our chains.....

I know you said around 1900sq ft, but my parents house is around 1400 & is a 3/2/2 in a court w/a large enough yard to put in a pool. They want no less than $200k for it. Ours is almost 1900 & is a 4/2/2 w/a pool & we want 300k. We live in the New Port Richey area just north of Tampa
