I was in my cousin's house about 40 miles north of Tampa and event there the power went out for 2 days and some trees were down in the area and I think it was category 1 when it hit there.

Mine was out when I got back to Lee county/ Fort Myers area but it was back by about Wednesday. so out only a few days.

I know people in Fort Lauderdale that didn't even get a direct hit that lost power for 2 weeks.

Did anyone who had at least category 1 winds not lose power at all?

I had some people in Windermere and Kissimmee where their power didnt go out

Quite a number of my colleagues in Tampa indicated their power did not go out.

I stayed in Boca Raton and the area I stayed in had power throughtout the hurricane. Never lost it once.

Here in Winter Garden/Hamlin/Horizons West - Power only flickered a time or two, but otherwise stayed on.

It seemed everyone around us lost power though (Family in Clermont, Auberndale, East Orlando, St Cloud and etc).

In Port Charlotte off 41, didn't lose power.

I checked into a hotel about a mile from my apartment in Stuart, and neither place lost power at all. They may have been 'on the same grid'. However, my workplace lost power for two days, and when we were able to return to work, most of the staff still had no power in their homes. I felt guilty when I told people I had power, because I could imagine how lousy it was being without electricity.

Don't know the circumstances with your coworkers or etc, but if your somewhat friendly could've offered hot showers/meals or etc if they wanted. Doing what you can help after a storm goes a long way to alleviating any guilt you might have

A lot of folks in Jacksonville never lost power and the opposite side of our street lost power for a few hours.

We did not lose power, neither did most of our neighbors around here. We are located just off US 17 about 1/2 mile south of the Desoto County line. We were not in the house for the hurricane, but had a large oak tree in our yard downed, between that and the other debris around ( almost entirely vegetative), I'd think we got hurricane force winds here.
