I would say it’s closer to OC/LA, but not quite as bad (Newport Beach THE worst)....though you will see plenty of exotic cars in SoFla, 99% of the time you won’t know a particular individual drives brand xxxx unless you actually see them in the car whereas in SoCal the people will go out of their way to tell you what they drive or ask you what car you drive.

There’s a level of pretentiousness in south FL that I’ve only seen in places like LA or the Orange coast. It’s refreshing to meet someone that’s content driving a Honda Accord, albeit rare.

Where...15 miles inland?...not on Miami Beach or where I live, on Biscayne Bay in Brickell, as the following data shows...my math is a little hazy, but I don’t see 90 for the months you incorrectly stated...do you even live in the area??

Not exactly Coastal California weather.

Most people in Miami hibernate in the AC at least 6 months a year.

Do you even live in Miami? It was 80+ degrees MOST OF LAST MONTH!

It was 85 on Feb. 14, 15

It was 85 on Feb. 18, 25

https://www.wunderground.com/history...IA/date/2021-2

Hmmmmm mid-80s in February. I'm sure it will be nice and "cool" by April.

Why don't you go Google record Miami temps in April, December, March etc. You'll see lots of 90s. Have fun!

"Hey, I know it's really hot in Kendall, but if you come visit me in Key Biscayne it will be 30 degrees cooler. oh the breezes....oh the shade...just like Santa Monica....." SAID NO ONE EVER. Except maybe elchevere.

Did you miss the part where I said that according to the National Weather Service (not the temp gauge in your house), it was 80 degrees or hotter for more than 20 days out of 28 days in Miami in February 2021?

The stats are not for Kendall. They are for Miami (airport). Which is MIAMI.

Again, if it is 95 degrees at MIA (the airport) or Kendall or Doral, it's not 30 degrees cooler in Key Biscayne or Miami Beach. It's not even 10 degrees cooler in Key Biscayne or the beach. It's hot everywhere.

Hey look! It was 95 in April in Miami of last year!

https://www.washingtonpost.com/weath...-florida-heat/

But let me guess: It was 74 glorious degrees on Miami Beach? Maybe in the cavities of your mind LOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And you must have conveniently missed the 7 days of 65, 67, 72, 76, and 78 last month...hence, why it’s called monthly average and in line with history.

https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/mi...7936?year=2021

And 90 with coastal breezes and/or shade makes a big difference vs inland (airport or Hialeah) with no breezes....but you know how my body feels and reacts to weather—I’m touched...lol.

In case you don’t think it ever gets hot in SoCal/San Diego and/or speaking about staying indoors:

Don’t forget the homeless and the predominantly arms covered body art crowd—majority of SD County. Stay classy San Diego.

Must have been too hot for you to walk a few blocks to the Bal Harbour Shops parking lot. I will admit though, Miami does lead the nation with $10K exhaust systems added to modified Honda’s. The Marielitos need to impress and keep up with one another.

I wouldn't even bother. There's a dissociation between facts and opinion and even if it's straight fact, it doesn't matter. In Philly we had the term "Negadelphian" for people who were relentlessly dour and pessimistic.

I'm still thinking about an equivalent term for the same type of Floridian. They're not as much but they're still too many.
