It seems this hotter summers as a result of stronger high pressure is sparing FLorida from the East and pushing the storms into LA, and TX. 2020 could have been a VERY bad year for FL hurricane wise. Models showed Laura as a large cat4 hitting Miami, or Keywest and then SWFL at one point.

I just love big weather change and since the last 11 years we have not had winters anymore. Lived here all my life and never seen much action with tropical weather heather. Just give me a blow by with a CAT1 and 10" of rain i will be a happy pappy. Most wind i ever saw in the Tampa area was 80mph from a cold front back in March of 1993 the no name storm norm.

Thus far, we've the least amount of named tropical storms than we've had in more than 20 years.

Slowest season in a very long time, so we'll see what September & October bring.
