Any opinions?

Personally, I like a full tank just in case I got to leave the state./lol

Saturday - September 10, 2022

Residents should keep their vehicle tanks or charge their electric vehicles at least half-full during a hurricane season to ensure they have enough fuel or battery life to evacuate as soon as that is possible after the order is given," Guthrie said.

As Guthrie explains, residents don’t have to evacuate hundreds of miles because of Florida's upgraded infrastructure, so half a tank is enough. Guthrie recommends using the extra time you're not spending waiting at the pump to prepare.

First, know if you're in an evacuation zone and know if your home is strong enough to shelter during a hurricane. As for supplies flashlights, batteries, a weather radio, a first-aid kit as well as cash, food and a two-week supply of medication are among the essentials.

I am staying with the ship no matter what. Keep a eye out south of Cuba near the end of Sept and even more south in the stair step area well south south west of Cuba in mid Oct.

this is total bullcrap......

you might not be able to get gas on the way back...no electric...and no credit cards

...and you can't rely on the NHC's predictions of where it's going

people can forget charging those little fancy golf carts too

My EV would outlast a gas car sitting in dead locked traffic by far. They use nothing just sitting while a gas car eats gas away ray. I gave up my EV 2 weeks ago for a Corvette brett. Had 4 Vettes in the past and love the older C6's. This is why i won't leave the house like a silly mouse as you can't get anywhere when it comes to the crunch and they won't let ya back in after the storm norm.

Does it increase your electric bill due to charging it at home?

Never noticed a change. Only drive 50 miles a week so i only charged 4 hours a week on a Sunday. Best car i ever had as far as being cheap to drive clive. My 2021 Camaro that got 8mpg in the city kitty on prem gas was insane. At lelast my C6 Vette gets 16mpg in the city and around 31mpg on the highway.

It was like $6 a month to drive the EV. But just too boring after 1.5 years and missed my Vettes chet.
