Me too, but I am getting more than a little worried about the lack of rain here in Lakeland. This has always been a "wet spot" but it's been WEEKS with nothing..... very odd for this time of year. Every day I check the forecast for the week, which always shows 50 percent or more for the following day.... but when the next day comes there is nothing and it shows a very low percent.... I am beginning to wonder if it will ever rain again.... I guess we are stuck in that dreaded "west flow" or something.....

While ago the sky got real cloudy and the temps dropped.... but nothing happened, it cleared up again.

It’s not my version of Florida. We are in a severe drought. That’s not a version. It’s a FACT.

West flow for you means nothing as showers build west of you and come your way. I told ya guys this would be the summer of no rain last winter and i was not playing around.

I guess the word “drought” has to be explained to these people over and over and over. We are not making #### up here. SW FL is in a severe drought per NOAA NWS!

It’s not raining because we are in a DROUGHT! And with drought comes higher temps and no cooling rains!

What’s with you? Lol… pretty much everyone posting here acknowledges that most of the peninsula has been dry this summer.

I have not had real rain since i moved here from Tampa in 04. Never seen a area this dry all thanks to a never ending west flow that screws anyone living right on the gulf like i do.

That is frustrating. For sure the rain has been more scattered this summer than widespread, but the weather "gurus" on our local CBS affiliate station point to the rains moving from the coast to more inland, around Lake Placid and east of there, south around Lake Okeechobee, and on to the east coast. They aren't huge pockets of rain, so they must be missing you.,We've had times as well where it was storming all, around us,,and dark overhead, but we got no rain, but we've had a fair amount of rain too, enough for standing water in some spots,,and the vegetation is green and looks to be fluorishing. No drought here.
