California is still the largest economy in the USA.

California still grows most of the crops consumed in the USA.

California still has the most expensive real estate in the USA.

You add all this up, and California is Number 1 in everything that counts (health of economy, agriculture and property values).
I gave 10 reasons why in my prior post...here are some again, since you somehow missed them, and/or feel they are unimpotant:

-losing population to net domestic migration w/ losses in the Millions

-losing Millennials and Gen Z'ers, which are the future

-losing seats in Congress due to population losses

-losing Billions due to budgeting shortfalls, mismanagement and overspending

-losing Thousands of employers to other states (see link for list)

-2nd highest cost of living in the USA

-lost/spent $24B of fed money meant to help the homeless, & had no impact

-economic slowdown (mentioned in link about budget deficits)

-infrastructure like electric grid in shambles and causing wildfires, & port labor issues

-residents tried to recall the governor, & nearly 5,000,000 residents voted to recall Newsom

Cali's in a downward spiral, just like New York. High taxes, high cost of living, & residents fleeing.

Florida & Texas are gaining population from Cali & New York...better States to live in, and do business.

None of that matters as long as you have the No. 1 economy in the country and you are the No. 1 producer of food in the country.

Money and food are pretty important! Lots more important than homeless people poop and bad governors.

As for Cali's cost of living, fires and decrepit grid, hmmmmm well it still has the most expensive real estate in the USA. So SOMEBODY clearly still wants to live there; in fact MILLIONS do!

Get back to me when California's economy is No. 13 in the nation from the mass exodus of business and workers, and when you can buy a 3 bedroom SFH in Pasadena for $200,000 because the place is in such "decline" and nobody wants to live there LOL.........(never gonna happen).

Michigan used to have booming economy too...but that could never happen to California

Maybe the Tech Bros moving back to Cali can figure out how to stop more tech company's from moving out.

Florida ranks 4th in Tech employment in the USA, so maybe the Cali Tech Bros will be moving here next.

Florida will have to pay significantly more across the board in order to compete.

Sure, but you never had to pay for the evening news on TV.

So the paradigm has shifted and ad revenue is now the principal income for many news orgs. For those without physical printing costs this looks to be sufficient.

Some with specialized content can charge a membership, free market at all.
