Yeah, well, I'm hoping to see highway 98 on the way to publix in the near future

Depends on 3 things. Net connection. Price.

It's been listed a long time ( 17 months ) and the owners are out of state probably wanting to commit suicide. They bought in june 2005, relisted it for 125K MORE and it just sits there.

Heheh

I don't go near I-4, I-95 or I-75 if I can help it. Thankfully, living on the east side of Orlando, I never have to use I-4. The only time I use any of these roads is if I'm heading out of state!

The tolls I paid going to/from Leesburg to Orlando, and going over to visit the Space center I found strange, from an "outsiders" view......it seemed in some places that every 2 miles or so I was paying a toll........75 cents, then 75 cents, then 1.25, etc, etc. Really slowed things down.

I suppose once we live down there, we will have a sunpass, which will make things easier.

Here in New York, we have the NYS Thruway......and E-Z Pass.

Even without E-Z pass, you only pay at one tollbooth.......tollbooths are ONLY at exits........if you go only to the next exit or two, (which would be around 30 miles or so), you get off, pay one toll, maybe for around .75 cents or so, and you are done.

If you stay on the Thruway for 300 miles, lets say, from Buffalo to Albany, you still pay only one toll, at your ending exit........it may be $9.00 or so, but it is one time.....no "quartering" to death. You get a little card, so you know ahead of time.

Please no bashing....just a newcomers observation........Florida still gets my vote, even with your strange toll system.

firemed,
You know us "Type A, get-er-done" types have a hard time learning patience.....kind of goes against the job sometimes.

Common sense is not too common......

Of course, up here, the politicians "promised" that the tolls would "go away" years ago, once the T-way was paid for, back in the 1970's.....

Having just travelled I75 south past Ft. Myers, it is definitely time for a solution. Toll road may be only solution to help with the load and to provide more exit lanes in time of storms.
