If you saw todays game you know what I mean. I never followed sports till my wife got me interested in baseball, she loves it. Now she has me watching the Marlins and they look like they can screw up any given game. I hate the idea of caring about a stupid sports team and having them ruin your day.

Well, you have to have faith.... Look at the Red Sox before 2004.... The laughing stock of Baseball. Then they finally got it together. They still screw up, but I still love em.... The same goes for any sport.

They don't have ANYONE better than Nunez to pitch ONE INNING?

It really hurts when the fans care more about the team than ownership does. Maybe if Jeff Loria took some of the revenue sharing money the team gets from MLB and put it into the team, they'd have more luck.

Don't forget -- the Marlins won 2 World Series since the mid-90s. And right after each one, ownership sold off the high-priced players to save money.

They were not -- and I say this from the perspective of a lifelong Yankees fan. They couldn't get past the Yankees in the postseason, but they were by no way, shape or form the laughingstock of baseball.

Well, they were not too good.... Everyone made fun of them, and the Patriots.... Now look at both teams.

I looked up the payroll for the Marlins. Now it makes more sense. Nunez, whose hands they put the fate of yesterdays game in makes $400,000. a year. That is like minimum wage in pro sports. The Marlins whole payroll is what another team pays just one player. Like I said, my wife got me started watching this stuff but I think I am done though. Could you imagine going to a concert and listening to a pianist hit bad notes all night? Thats is what it is like watching some of these sports teams. Marlins the other night had a pitcher who just stood there instead of covering first base on a ground ball. The other player went to throw the runner out and there was no one there covering first base. This looks like on the job training or something. They don't even seem to know how to play in some instances.
