Once you move to Florida and have beautiful beaches at your fingertips all the time and sunny warm weather (except today its 49 degrees) do you still vacation in other warm climates?

I usually travel to the Northeast in the winter/holiday season. It's nice to be around GENUINE people. "southern hospitality" is fake and 2 faced. I think people in Florida (and the south) equate loud, fast talkers of the North to be jerks. I don't agree, most of the people I know in the Northeast are strait up and honest with you. You usually have friends for life up there.

I prefer to vacation in an area that is VERY different from The Tampa Bay area. The Northeast (New Jersey, Massachusetts, New York) is exactly that. I also LOVE the houses up there- not the thrown together junk we have down here. It is also very interesting to compare the cost of living and pay scale with the people I know up there. In many areas, it is hardly any more expensive than Florida. The wages and opportunities are usually much better.

I moved to Florida from NJ. I always vacationed here growing up so it was strange for me (now that I live here) to go to another warm climate. Thanks for giving us northerners some credit.

NO, we can no longer afford vacations once we reside in Florida. Unfortunately no one accepts the imaginary Sunshine dollars that we are paid in lieu of livable wages.

We took at vacation/cruise to the Bahamas but is was more for the kids since it was Disney. Usually we go up to NY where my husband is from. The kids like to float down the Delaware River and go hiking in the mountains. It's a change of scenery from the normal palm trees and beaches of Florida.

I'd like to say I vacation in Australia or Hawaii.
