It is all over CNN and HLN News today that a pastor has been sexually using children for his own purposes. With all the children kidnappings, multitude of pedophiles living there, and sexual abuses, is there something in the Florida waters?

The transient nature of Florida facilitates the worst kind of scum, like pedophiles and other deviants and assotred criminals. The warm weather gives them a year round opportunity to perpetrate their crimes and the constant traffic back and forth to/from Florida works in their favor.

I'm saying this as a possible rationale....and I'm a Florida lover not a basher.

Exactly, Florida attracts transients and criminals. With all the old people, tourists, and transient dreamers there is never a shortage of people to take advantage of and rip off. Easy pickings for criminals, cons, frauds, and other degenerates. It's nearly impossible to trust any one down here unlike say in the Midwest. Also you would be crazy to not own and carry a gun at least in your car down here.

I don't know where it was the OP was talking about but I do know that there are about 18-20 states with a higher sex crimes per capita.

I guess they must have more of what ever it is in the water in those other states.

Rubies, do you have a link to the story? Just went to CNN and even looked in their section on crime and couldn't find anything. Just curious cause I haven't read about it. What county did it happen in?

Last thing I remember on the news referring to something bad happening to a child was the little girl in California that got murdered by the female Sunday school teacher.

Well, what else did you expect from Belle Glade. That and Pahokee are the worst areas in south Florida.
