Are the love bugs swarming in Florida yet? We are anticipating a drive to Naples next week but would like to avoid driving through swarming bugs.

I just drove on 27 from Fort Lauderdale to Mount Dora. They weren't as bad as they can be but the car was pretty covered with them.

I have not installed either a clear or leather (vinyl) bra on my 2010 Terrain yet. Probably will not before our drive to Naples. Any home grown suggestings for making the bug splatter earier to remove once I arrive in Florida? I have plenty of wax on the paint, but a large black plastic grill that I expect to be a mess. I wonder if spraying with PAM or CRC before leaving would help??

A bug screen plus Pam and do the windsheild with Rain-x. The windshield is very important. If you are driving and they get on the windshield don't turn on the wipers. You will all of a sudden be looking trough what will seem like wax paper at 65 miles an hour. You may not be able to see a thing. The rain-x will help a lot.

I haven't tried it, but dryer sheets are supposed to be pretty effective at getting them off if you can't wash the car.
