I usually have a bowl of cereal (Frosted Flakes, Lucky Charms, Fruity Pebbles, Captain Crunch, etc. etc.) and milk. Been that way for years. (Does this make me trashy?)

How about you?

Usually what's left over from the day before. If I'm feeling industrious I'll make up an onion and cheese frittata. Sometimes I'll just have a couple of chili dogs.

If I head down to the diner I go for a ham and cheese omelet smothered in chile verde, French toast and hash browns with onions.

This morning I actually had homemade waffles with marionberry jam.

Hi, TVdexer. No, that doesn't make you trashy!! Those cereals are the best! Just eating them makes you feel like a kid again, too...

This is embarrassing to admit, but sometimes breakfast is as pathetic as coffee & a glass of Metamucil! YECH, I know, but such is life after 40 - at least for some. On a morning when I want to cook, however, I defrost hash browns in the microwave and then mash them up and fry in pan till crispy (voila hash browns) with chopped green onions & peppers, seasoned by salt, pepper, sage, paprika, garlic powder. Fry up an egg and then douse the whole plate in hot sauce & breakfast is served.

I love Capt. Crunch. Yum but that's not what I eat.

Most mornings I have Fiber One cereal or oatmeal and fruit.

I make bacon, eggs, and toast for my DH everyday. Breakfast is his favorite meal.

I tend to eat these foods in rotation: grits, oatmeal, oat bran, and cold cereal. I usually make pumpkin bread, banana bread, or biscuits to go with this. What usually happens is that I eat grits (or one of the others) everyday for some period of time, then I get sick of eating it, and I move onto the next thing (same thing with the bread). I also eat cold cereal all the time (in the afternoon, for a snack at night, etc.), so it is really more of an anytime food for me.

I happen to really enjoy my plain fat free yogurt, high fibre toast, and a piece of fruit. I like to mix things up with high fibre cereal, fruit and milk. Etc.

Blood sausage? Sounds quite German to me. When I am back in Germany, I do enjoy coldcuts and rolls for breakfast or with bauern brot. :-)

I don't usually have breakfast but sometimes I have a snack before lunch. It could be anything from a handful of crackers, to a pbj sandwich, to some leftover cold steak or pizza. I do like breakfast food, though, and use to have cereal for dinner more than for breakfast.

a glass of milk with tea and two buttered toasts. Some days, strong coffee instead of milk.
