Fried chicken??? Mmmm-mmmm. I can get good fried chicken almost anywhere: Popeye's, KFC, Chicken Express, Golden Chick, Babe's, Williams Chicken, and...........

.............my mother's house. Hers is still a tried-and-true recipe.

My dad cooks the best Fried Chicken. Absolutely love it.

Bojangle's fried chicken and sweet iced tea is also great if yall know what I'm talking about .

Publix here makes the BEST fried chicken - I bought some the other day and really pigged out - it's just addictive! I will say that I don't eat it too often - can't afford too many of those pigouts!

The problem I have with fried chicken is that there were two places that had super delicious fried chicken that I ate at every chance. But I found out both were deep fried in pork lard. Now I have nothing against pork or lard, but the idea of eating all that pork lard kind of turned me off. Now, my gourmet son says he can make fried chicken as good as the pork lard stuff, but I just don't get the same great taste and crispiness. So, fried chicken (the pork lard kind) is on my once in a while list, like prime rib and pork barbeque.
