I have had it in the fridge well over two weeks, and it was fine.

probably almost forever.

Feta is cured in a vinegar based brine.

Most cheeses are edible until they mold and many even after that, if you just cut or scrape the mold off.

I love feta. YUM

As I recall, you can store it a really long time in the fridge unwrapped in a closed container of salt water.

As long as you don't contaminate the cheese by leaving it open to air for a long time, or putting your fingers into it, it should last for a very long time. If you see mold or bacteria on it then it is probably time to chuck it.

There was once I had a large Costco container of feta cheese for 4 months after opening it, and nothing happened. Eventually I just ate it all.

I have also had yogurt for way past expiration. It ferments a bit but nothing much else.

If starts to taste sour/bitter. The mold is not a problem, you can slice about a 1/2 to 1 inch around the area where the mold has formed and it will be fine.
When I get a block of feta cheese, I cut 1/2 inch slices, place thin slice of red onion in between, sprinkle with oregano and drizzle with light olive oil. Store in a glass container with lid. Refrigerate. It last a month or longer.

I've had mine for maybe 2 or 3 months? It is from Costco and I use it sporadically in salads. I'm almost finished with it!
