plan is to head out to the japanese/chinese buffet but it seems like my brother and his gf and my dad may not make it. i like to have my days planned in advance, they dont commit to anything until last minute so you can never count on them. im gonna take my fridays coupon in case, if its just me the wife and baby i may prefer to make it a fridays meal. i do have a 10% off coupon at the buffer so either way ill be saving some coin.

What's the difference between ravioli and tortellini? I'm having tortellini, according to what it says on the package, but is it really all that different from ravioli?

I asked on another forum whether people would rather have gyoza or spaetzle. They're both basically a dumpling. I guess there are a lot of foods out there like that--many cultures make them, but they have a different name for them.

It's funny, actually, because I love tortellini (some kinds) but don't like ravioli at all. I think -- or at least for the kinds of tortellini that I enjoy -- the noodle part is meatier, thicker, denser than it is for ravioli, so I enjoy it more.

For dried kinds of tortellini, the Barilla brand -- the cheese one (is it 3-cheese or 5-cheese? I don't remember) -- is my favorite. I swear that I could eat it every day.

Been busy in the kitchen most of the day the way I like it.

Made up a huge batch of meatballs we'll have some tonight with my home canned mushroom gravy & mashed potatoes. Slaw if you'd like and for dessert peanut butter sheet with cooked chocolate icing.

Gurrrrrllllllll (guys too ) those meatballs were smelling so good when I was rolling them I told my DS I'd almost eat one raw! He looked at me all weird until he came over to take a whiff. No neither one of us ate any raw.

Love fresh pesto sauce~

I worked in a supermarket in high school & the meat manager used to make up a batch of ground beef he would eat raw~I bet it would have tasted delicious, Jaxson.

I have a huge fresh ham in the oven. Made garlic bread & brownies.
& we'll have a fresh spinach salad.
