Mine is Lindt. I found Lindt after a search through the walmart aisles for chocolate that wasn't nasty and would leave a bad taste in my mouth like Hershey's. After I bought it and tried it, I was hooked. It didn't taste anything like the typical chocolate that was sold at the check out lines. This was very nice tasting milk chocolate that didn't leave any bad after-taste in your mouth. Very rich in quality and flavor. I didn't realize until after that it was gourmet chocolate from Switzerland.
Belgian chocolate rates very high ( Callebaut ), Amadei ( Italian), Richart ( French)
Great American chocolate comes from small shops like Burdrick, Gearharts, Knipschildt or Jacques Torres. Those are artisan chocolates. Expensive and very, very good. Godiva, which used to be owned by Campbell’s Soup Company and now a Turkish company, and Ghirardelli, which is actually owned by Lindt.
A bit cheaper but still very decent: L.A. Burdick, Recchiuti Confections, Bridgewater, Frans ( best caramels), Candinas ( best truffles), Fannie May ( best budget). Chocolate Reviews | Best Gourmet Chocolates
I somehow lost my taste for chocolate when I went lo-carb!
But I used to love a good chocolate once in awhile and I also liked Lindt for the milk chocolate and truffles, and especially the pistachio cream which isn't easy to find.
For dark chocolate we used to get Green and Black's organic dark chocolate with ginger crispies - wow.
Different chocolates are great for different reasons. The chocolates I like best have a taste that's between a semi-sweet rich dark chocolate and a smooth, creamy/buttery milk chocolate. It has to melt quickly, and coat my mouth with thick, rich, lasting chocolate flavor.
My favorites are
Green & Black's Milk Chocolate (37%)
Lake Champlain Milk Chocolate (34%)
Valrhona
Scharffen Berger (41%)
Teuscher
Callebaut
What I have found in talkig to people is that its very subjective as to taste. some actauly like a sweeter choclate;some less sweet. Its like pickig a favorite soft drink really.

Oh. That wasn't what you meant by that question, was it? Well, either way, I'd like some "best chocolate"... now.
