2%, 1% or skim milk, to me, only serves to water the coffee down, not enhance it.
I only use half & half or full cream in my coffee. I don't use non-dairy creamer if it can be avoided, whether it's powdered or liquid. If some other grade of milk product is all that's available, I drink it black. I don't sweeten, or used flavored creamer, either.
I love 2% milk, and I would like to teach the cows to make it. But I don't use any in coffee, ever.
I just put a pack of Splenda in it.
I can see the cows....looking at me...while I say, "now, class".
Then we can all have a little party together, afterwards.....
I don't drink coffee now, but when I was younger I saw my dad do it and I wanted to be just like him. So he would pour me a cup, then drown it in milk. I'm sure it was 75% milk.
When I go visit him, he will still do the same thing. I drink it to make him happy.

What she said.
My husband, however, prefers 2% over the half and half we have on hand for MY coffee.
As a Canadian every place i go for a coffee the 2% milkers are available for your coffee usually along with 10% creamers .
However when i travel to the USA 2% milk for coffee is almost unheard of and usually my choices are 18% cream, Half and Half, coffee whitener (powder) or flavored concoctions.
I wonder why the concept of regular milk in coffee is not prevelant in the USA..
Anyone else like milk in their coffee? http://anothertalkinghead.files.word...and-milker.jpg
As an extrucker who travelled all over the USA for five years my experience sure was different than yours. Most places we had coffee had more choices of things to put in coffee than you could shake a stick at. They had whole milk, 2% milk, skim milk, 10% cream, 18% cream, non dairy milk, soya maybe, I don't know not using it. They had all kinds of flavoured liquids to put in, powders, syurps, extra caffine. They also had big big big coffees. I always got a 24oz high test caffine with about 4 oz of 10% cream, 6 little creamers of English toffee or French vanilla and 3 tablespoons of sugar. That kept me going on down the road a ways.
Maybe it's only truck stops that sell their coffee like that. That concoction I mentioned was mostly bought at a PILOT truck stop.
