I LOVE IT...Shramrock Farms (Tx) makes the best; I have tried many many brands.
Next is Jack Daniels Egg nog and add some rum or boubon and whipped cream with a dash of
nutmeg and cinamoon...

I also make coffee/ with eggnog about 1/3 and add the bourbon/rum etc +++++++++

I tried making it with hard boiled eggs once, for the non-snakes in my family, and it didn't quite have the right mouth feel.

A couple of time a year I love rich, thick homemade eggnog with lots of bourbon and nutmeg. Yum!

I don't care for the store bought stuff.

It doesn't have to be made with raw eggs. There are recipes that call for milk, cream and eggs to be whisked together in a saucepan over low heat before adding the other ingredients. The results are excellent.

My dad used to make it....store-bought egg nog, Jack Daniels and Blue Bell ice cream!

I love it, but I'm glad it's seasonal because I love it a lot. I'd probably get sick of it if it was available year round. It's delicious in coffee.

I am totally a nogger.
However, the store-bought stuff leaves me cold.
I use a special slow-simmered recipe, that involves whipping the egg whites with sugar until they peak, blending the egg yolks seperately, then whisking together the eggs, whole cream, sugar, vanilla, and nutmeg. Once it cools, I whip more cream with a little sugar and nutmeg until it has hard peaks, and then gently fold it into the nog (I don't float it on top). Then I keep it in a stoneware tabletop urn above a candle warmer, put the bottles of rum, brandy, and bourbon next to it, and let people choose their mix.

I never have to throw any out. Stay-overs usually put it on their cereal - especially oatmeal - in the morning.

Home made bourbon laced fruitcake washed down with spiked eggnog! Tasty.
Good thing the holiday only rolls around once a year.

I like it.

Egg nog also makes excellent French toast.
